Get ready for color, curiosity, and a little bit of magic! In this playful outdoor art class, children will explore watercolor magic in phases, experimenting with exciting materials and watching colors transform before their eyes.

✨ Children will:

  • Draw with oil pastels and waterproof pens on large watercolor paper.
  • Experiment with liquid watercolors using droppers, pipettes, and brushes to create colorful blends and surprises.
  • Sprinkle coarse salt to discover the fascinating textures and patterns it creates as watercolor dries.

Each artist will create a one-of-a-kind watercolor piece mounted to a sturdy board for easy carrying home. This class is all about exploration, experimentation, and joyful creativity.

Please dress for mess and sunshine! Liquid watercolor is not forgiving and stains easily!

Why Choose Process Art?

Process art supports self-expression, experimentation, and creativity while promoting a joyful, stress-free art-making environment. These classes focus on the experience of creating—not the final product. Each project is designed to be open-ended, sensory-friendly, and developmentally appropriate. Your child will develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for making in this supportive class!

What to bring:

  • Water bottle + sun protection
  • Messy/Play clothing (we often use fancy paint that is not as forgiving as tempera and stains easily!)

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

  • Refunds: Refunds are available for cancellations made 7 or more days before the class. Cancellations or missed classes within 7 days of the class date are not refundable, due to the limited time offering and small class sizes.
