In this hands-on Color Mixing Lab, young artists will explore what happens when colors collide. We’ll start with bottles of red, yellow, blue, white, (and hot pink!) paint and experiment with mixing our own completely new colors.
Kids will create, test, compare, and even name some of the colors they invent before using their custom palette for an open-ended painting experience.
This is a process-based art class, which means the focus isn’t on everyone leaving with an identical finished project. Instead, kids will get to experiment with real art materials, make discoveries, get messy, and create something that’s completely their own.
And yes, there will be LOTS of paint. Consider this your opportunity to let someone else deal with that mess! 😉
Class is held from 10:00am-11:15am at the 21C Library!

- Cost: $20 per child (use code “sibling15” for 15% off your total enrollment price when registering two or more students)

- Class size limited to 12 students
- This is a drop-off class, although parents are welcome to stay nearby if their child needs them. Please have younger children use the restroom before class. I am unable to leave the classroom to accompany children to the restroom, so if your child may need bathroom assistance, please plan to remain at the library during class.

- Clothes that can get messy
- Water bottle
