Celebrate the start of a new school year with creativity, confidence, and color!
In this special back-to-school workshop, children will create two meaningful keepsake projects designed to help them reflect on who they are, celebrate what makes them unique, and head into the school year feeling brave and confident.
✨ Children will:
- Create a guided Mixed-Media Self Portrait focus on celebrating what makes each child special through expressive color, symbols, patterns, and playful details.
- Design a Confidence Crown while reflecting on positive qualities and encouraging words like brave, kind, creative, curious, and strong.
- Finish with a celebratory “crowning” moment and a quick photo wearing their finished crown.
This workshop is designed to feel joyful, encouraging, and creative while still being open-ended and child-centered. No two projects will look alike!
Class is held from 10:00am-11:15am at the 21C Library!

What to Bring:
- Clothes that can get messy (we will be using various paints, none of which are very forgiving)
- Water bottle
- A willingness to create and celebrate yourself!
Important Notes:

- *Parents may stay or drop off, but are limited to one adult due per child to library room restrictions! Drop off is encouraged and there are lots of spaces outside the classroom to relax in the library.
- Please arrive a few minutes early stop at the restroom before hand so we can settle in and begin on time.
- All materials are included!

- Refunds: Refunds are available for cancellations made 7 or more days before the class. Cancellations or missed classes within 7 days of the class date are not refundable, due to the limited time offering and small class sizes.
- Transfers: If your child cannot attend, you may transfer their spot to another child for the same session.
