In this 90-minute workshop, children will slow down, create, and reflect on what they’re thankful for as they build their very own Gratitude Mobile — a beautiful, hanging sculpture inspired by nature and gratitude.
Research shows that kids who regularly reflect on what they’re thankful for develop stronger emotional awareness, better social skills, and a greater sense of well-being!
Class is held from 10:30am-12:00pm at the 21C Library!
Each child will:
🌿 Choose a branch and decorate it with meaningful colors and materials
🎨 Paint and string wooden beads, sequins, and air-dry clay pieces
💛 Draw or write on circular “gratitude tags” representing what they’re thankful for
🌈 Assemble a mobile that’s uniquely their own
We’ll start with a short group discussion about gratitude and what it means to each of us, read a story, learn about mobile sculptures, then dive into the creative process using a variety of open-ended materials. This project is wonderfully tactile and perfect for kids who love to make, build, and imagine.
